Ingredients
2tbspharissa pastestore-bought or homemade
2tbspolive oil
1tbsplemon juiceor lime juice
1tsphoney or maple syrupoptional for balance
2garlic clovesminced
1tspsmoked paprika
½tspground cumin
½tspsaltadjust to taste
¼tspblack pepper
500gabout 1 lb boneless chicken breast or thighs, cut into cubes
Instructions
Make the Marinade-In a bowl, whisk together harissa paste, olive oil, lemon juice, honey, garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
Marinate the Chicken-Add the chicken cubes, ensuring every piece is coated in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. For maximum flavour, marinate overnight.
Thread onto Skewers-Place the chicken cubes onto skewers. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20 minutes first to prevent burning.
