Easy Strawberry Banana Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 1 ripe bananas peeled and sliced
- 2 cup fresh strawberries hulled and chopped
- 1/2 cup milk I've used cow's milk, but you can use any milk of your choice
- 2 tbsp thick cream
- 2 tablespoons honey adjust to taste
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Fruit: Start by slicing the bananas and chopping the strawberries into smaller pieces.
- Freeze the Fruit: Lay the banana slices and chopped strawberries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place the baking sheet in the freezer and let the fruit freeze for at least 2-3 hours, or until completely frozen.
- Blend the Ingredients: Once the fruit is frozen solid, transfer the banana slices and strawberries to a blender or food processor. Add milk, thick cream, honey, vanilla extract (if using), and a pinch of salt to the blender.
- Blend Until Smooth: Blend the mixture on high speed until smooth and creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides of the blender a few times to ensure everything is well combined.
